Troldtekt® with FUTURECEM™
Acoustic panel made of wood and CO2 reduced cement
Troldtekt has developed a Cradle to Cradle-certified acoustic panel in which the binder cement has been replaced with the new CO2-reduced cement type FUTURECEM™. The Troldtekt® acoustic panel based on FUTURECEM™ absorbs more CO2 than it emits during production (phases sA1-A3 in EPD). It thus has a negative carbon footprint in these phases. This is because the wood in the panel absorbs CO2 during the growth of the trees. At the same time, 97.7% of the energy used in Troldtekt’s production comes from renewable sources, which explains the acoustic panel's negative carbon footprint.
